Pelleter Urges Voters Informed On Constitutional Convention Dispute

District Attorney Pelletier urged voters be informed about the clash between the Committee on Publicity for the Constitutional Convention and the Commission on Constitutional Convention. He said he cannot act as a candidate for the convention but suggested his assistant or another DA handle the issue.

Publicity Committee questioned over official status in constitutional debate

April 25 1917 Pelletier denounces a self appointed Publicity Committee and contrasts it with the State Commission created by law to gather data for the constitutional convention. He warns the unofficial group risks criminal libel and public confusion by presenting itself as an official board while urging voters be informed of the legitimate commission.
