The slander suit by Mlle. Jane May against Rev. Dr. Joseph Pullman of Bridgeport’s First Methodist Church over comments about an actress is withdrawn. Mr F W Lucas and Mr J L Higgins of Snow Church Co were trapped in their office after 9 p m. They cried from a second story window attracting a crowd on Franklin street. Patrolmen brought a ladder but the prisoners chose another exit and finally walked away up Franklin street amid spectators and renewed calls for aid.

Newport R I April 24 In the Supreme Court today the Pullman Palace Car Company lost the suit brought by F P Garrettson who two years ago while riding in one of the company's cars lost his baggage on the Pennsylvania railway. It was charged a car employee moved the baggage while he dined and it could not be found. The jury returned a verdict against the defendant for nearly 200 dollars.
