In a big bout Britt K. 0. aimed for his sixth title shot but Lew Tendler stopped him in three rounds with sharp body and jaw counters. Britt briefly led the first two rounds before Tendler delivered the decisive uppercuts and hooks to the ribs. Referee Mat Hinkel counted Britt out as he collapsed to the canvas. The undercard featured Johnny Buckley defeating Young Chakas in eight, Freddie Webb over Frank Toronto in six, and Panama Joe Gans drawing with Battling Thomas.
