Moody School Graduation Held in Moody Memorial Chapel

Moody School held final commencement for the boys with diplomas presented by Principal Cutler. A banquet followed as trustees addressed attendees. Graduation lists names from Classical and Elective courses, with numerous donations boosting the endowment and funds for the girls’ seminary.

Hodges to Lead Cincinnati Public Library

N. D. C. Hodges former Harvard College librarian has accepted the Cincinnati Public Library post by unanimous trustees vote. He will begin about May 6 with a salary of 2500 dollars yearly. Born in Salem in 182, he graduated from Harvard in 1874, studied at Heidelberg, taught physics at Harvard, and edited Science. He previously served at the New York Public Library and Harvard.

Aldermen Delay Appointments In Boston City Hall

The Boston aldermen held up several mayoral appointments including M T Monahan as city printer and H Mortain Hatch as assessor. Robert Cox was confirmed as health commissioner after a party line roll call vote while many deputies for weights and measures were laid on the table.
