Dynamite Blasts Hit Lawrence. Two Explosions Cause Heavy Damage

Two dynamite explosions within an hour damaged property in Lawrence on April 22. The first blast at 106 168 Garden Street struck a tenement housing workers in sympathy with the strike, ripping away a stairway and shattering windows. A second blast at 21 25 and 27 31 Carver Street shook the South Lawrence area and broke panes up to a quarter mile away. no injuries were reported. Police attributed both blasts to dynamite.
