East Lee Flood Wrecks Homes and Mills in Massacre
Prrisheyp Mass April 20 At 5 30 this morning the village of East Lee was flooded when the Mud pond reservoir dam broke sending a wall of debris through the valley. Four to six feet of water swept houses and shops, killed several residents and left many missing as selectmen rushed relief efforts and local mills and buildings suffered extensive damage.

Notorious Sneak Thief Captured in Act of Robbery
At 06 40 yesterday afternoon a servant girl at 1512 Washington street saw a man enter the back door and roam the third floor. Mr. Bickford pursued him, the man drew a revolver, and fled. with help from a passerby he was captured and identified as Willis W Buckland, a felon discharged last December after a five year prison term for robbery. Authorities believe Buckland responsible for multiple depredations in the district.
