John Burkes Fight with Highwaymen
John Burke of 28 Green Street Jamaica Plain thwarted a highway robbery last night near Haymarket square. Three attackers attacked him. Burke knocked one down and defended himself as the other two assaulted him, stole his watch, and kicked him unconscious. He was later taken to Emergency Hospital with a broken nose and facial injuries. The suspect Burke saw wore a golf cap, dark clothing, about 23, short and stout.

Man Arrested in Chelsea on Intent to Murder Charge

Morris Levine of 263 Broadway Chelsea woke to find his apartment gas cocks turned on and gas escaping. He and his family were revived. intruder had entered earlier and stolen several gas fixtures from the front room while attempting to remove others in the sleeping area and kitchen.

New York April 19. Frank J. Feeley and his wife, restaurant waiters from Rhode Island, quarreled in the street. Both bodies were recovered from the North River.
