Tablet Unveiled for Soldier William Dawes Jr at King's Chapel

A bronze tablet memory of William Dawes Jr. was unveiled at the King's Chapel burying ground with about 300 attendees from the Sons of the Revolution. The ceremony included colors raised by Walter Gilman Page and Henry D. Warren, and a wreath in blue and yellow. Dawes, a patriot and messenger to Lexington, is honored on the tablet, which bears his birth and death dates and was sponsored by the Massachusetts Society Sons of the Revolution.

Nyce resolution nearly sparks riot in Pennsylvania Senate

In Harrisburg on April 19 the Nyce resolution to urge the attorney general to prosecute all involved with State money interest clashes with Senate factions. Lodger's suicide attempt at city hospital

Peter O Callaghan, a years old lodger at 77 Kneeland Street attempted suicide by cutting his throat with a knife yesterday morning. He was taken to City Hospital and thought to be surviving. He had been despondent and reportedly drinking heavily recently.

All of the Eighth Regiment Furloughed for Muster Out

Practically the entire Eighth Regiment was furloughed until April 28 when they will be mustered out. Most men not furloughed yesterday were to be set at liberty today as crowds gathered at the armory. Emblems and decorations were removed, and officers arranged muster out procedures and passes valid through April 28. Two prisoners awaiting court martial remained confined at the South armory.
