Mary E Miller an 18 year old girl described as exceedingly pretty was arrested by Inspector Glidden on a warrant for larceny of 45 from Nellie G Holland of 834 Temple place dated March 24. Allegedly she had earlier stolen Miss Blanche Taggs pocketbook containing 90 and had access to Blancke room on Hollis street. She admits the crimes and faces court tomorrow morning.

After coordinating with New York post office inspectors a Post reporter met one swindler at a city hotel across the Harlem River. They moved to Elizabeth Street to a musty den, where two younger men showed large bundles of money and arranged for the next day’s operation. A third man joined, explained note aging, and a box with 3000 dollars was replaced with a dummy. The party then took the victim to a fake express office and a Bowery broker to wash the draft, while the victim insisted on banking the draft. The Post, defying rivals, published the outline after telegrams went to Boston papers. the Boston Sunday Herald credited the Post, while the Boston Sunday Globe omitted the Post’s name.
