Anti Alien Land Ownership Bill Passed in California

Sacramento April 15 The lower house approved an anti alien land ownership bill by 60 to 15 designed to prevent Japanese from owning land but broadened to cover all aliens not declaring intent to become citizens. The measure stems from concerns over treaty rights and colonial land claims.

At a joint executive board meeting of the Telephone Operators Union and related unions the weekly wage increase and related negotiation matters were discussed.
