Edith D Donegan Fatally Injured by Electric Car

Edith D, 65 year old daughter of John Donegan of 86 Willow Street, was knocked down by a Wakefield electric car on Willow Street last evening. She suffered both legs broken and a severe head injury. Local authorities reported the accident as probably fatal.

Confessed a Thief George W Wise Arrested on Embezzlement Charge

George W Wise a 20 year old assistant bookkeeper at A Storrs and Benment Company was arrested by Inspectors Knox and Douglas on a warrant for embezzling 50. He resided at 10 Bullard Street Dorchester and confessed after a trap using marked bills exposed his theft. He says he carried the scheme for months and cannot state the total amount stolen.
