British Leader O Brien Arrested Then Released on Bail

William O’Brien MP was arrested on arriving at Kingstown after his Loughrea speech. He was remanded to Thursday and released on bail. Ballinasloe greeted him with enthusiasm as meetings pledge to back him to prison. Dillon watched by detectives as home rule leaders faced broad support and police kept watch on his Dublin residence.

Emperor Suffered In Bed As Empress Weighs Allies

In Berlin on April 15 the Emperor remained in bed due to coughing from a tracheal irritation and a new canula. Italians Arrive as Marble Cutters for Boston Firm

Eighteen Italian marble cutters reached Castle Garden from Hamburg and confirmed they were hired by Barker, Torrey & Co. of Boston. Each received passage paid to the United States and a 800 francs pocket stipend.

Canada cancels first proclamation on tree list for imports

Ottawa Ontario April 15 a new proclamation will appear cancelling last Saturday's order that placed certain natural product articles on the tree list. It decrees future entry rules for green fruit trees shrubs and some seeds regardless of origin. The change aims to remove charges of discrimination against Great Britain.

Immigration Labor Restriction Act Excerpt 1885 Provisions

Provisions prohibit prepayment or encouragement of alien immigration for labor into the United States and its territories.
