President Wilson and his Cabinet reaffirmed resolve to press Germany after reviewing evidence of ships sunk in submarine warfare. They agreed to inform Germany that pledges to the United States are not being fulfilled and to dispatch a final note within forty eight hours.
Mrs Minnie Connolly a 47 year old domestic of Charles Daley 15 Carney Street Malden jumped from a Saugus branch train as it left West Everett station believing she had passed her stop. She sustained spinal injuries a sprained back and probable internal injuries. She was kept on the dangerous list at Malden hospital after about ninety minutes of transport before admission.
Gunmen staged two robberies in Roxbury and Everett last night. A lone thief rifled Morris Hoffman’s Blue Hill Avenue shop, while three assailants shot Louis Klickstein at Union and Irving streets, seriously wounding him before escaping.
Three men robbed Louis Klickstein at Union and Irving Everett and fired three shots wounding Klickstein in the back. He chased the assailants to Chelsea street, while his wife Tillie gave alarm. Police had no trace by midnight. The Roxbury clerk Harry Slutzker was also relieved of 4.21 from the clerk and 7 in change inside a Roxbury dry goods store.
The British government proclaims an absolute prohibition on exporting pig iron and nearly all kinds of steel to any destination. The steel ban targets railroad and shipbuilding materials such as rails sleepers wheels axles girders ingots and plates over one eighth inch thick. Also outlawed is the export of soap containing more than one percent glycerine.

Cambridge reports the death of Julian A. Lathrop of New Hope Penn a Harvard sophomore serving as an ambulance attendant in France. He is the second Harvard casualty in a week sharing Worcester Academy roots with Merril S Gaunt of Methuen a Harvard Divinity School student both fellow Worcester Academy graduates.
Harvard University confirms freshman and varsity football player Lathrop died after being wounded under heavy fire in France during wartime service. He was a Delta Upsilon Club member and departed with two roommates Walter Wheeler of Brooklyn and Arthur Tyson of New York City.
