Police saved four strike breakers attacked near Broadway and A street. City Hospital treated the injured while reserves were deployed as the worst disturbances since the strike began.

A blaze at the Standard Laundry and Soule Art Company buildings on Dudley and Rockford streets Roxbury injured many firefighters. About 11 o'clock last evening a score of firemen were overcome by smoke and gas, fifteen forced to retire for 15 to 20 minutes. Damage neared 10000, with 3000 borne by the art firm. Several officers and crew of Ladder 7 and Engine 13 endured the worst exposure.
