Fire damages suite at Kingston hotel in Boston
At 6 15 last night a fire started in the parlor of Eugene Tompkins residence at the Kingston apartment hotel on Boylston and Exeter streets. Charles H Bates rushed to sound the alarm from Box 92 and firemen confined damage to the corner with a gas jet, ruining several valuable paintings and causing about $5000 in losses to the Tompkins suite.
