Dutch Report Probes Sinkings of Palembang and Tubantia
The Dutch Shipping Council released findings on the Palembang and Tubantia sinkings. It cites three explosions on Palembang from torpedoes and denies a mine collision, and says Tubantia was struck by a Schwartzkopf torpedo from a submarine or torpedo boat. The U.S. State Department may take up the case with Germany once the Dutch report is officially transmitted.
