Death of M. Catargi Prominent Roumanian Statesman

Bucharest April 11. M Jascar Catargi distinguished Ideanian statesman and former premier died today at seventy six. He helped consolidate Roumania after 1861 union with Wallachia and Mollavia, served in provisional government 1865, led Conservative ministries 1871 76 and 1888 1892, and briefly interior minister in 1891 92.
