Bellamy Storer Said to Be Appointed Minister to Spain

Washington reports Bellamy Storer, current U S minister to Belgium, will be named minister to Spain. The Madrid post offers a notable promotion with duties including negotiating a general trade treaty. Mrs Storer is Catholic and Due D Arcosom is expected for Washington. Storer, 52, Harvard and Cincinnati Law School graduate, served in Congress and on the foreign affairs committee. He supports civil service reform and has large private means.

Tramp Kills Woman in Front of Children Near South Charleston

In South Charleston Ohio on April 11 a tramp murdered Mrs. James Hutseler in her farmhouse while her children watched. The killer was captured and moved from London jail to Washington Court House to avoid lynching by outraged locals.

Harlem Bridge Collapse Kills Four Workmen

Four men died and twelve or more injured when a temporary Willis avenue bridge superstructure over the Harlem River collapsed this afternoon. Rescue teams battled water as a traveling derrick toppled the span, with several workers believed buried beneath wreckage. East Boston Tragedy as Caravan Driver Arrested

In East Boston at 241 Chelsea Street a 5 year old boy nicknamed Jackie Maguire was killed when a caravan wheel ran over him. Driver Martin Kelly of Yeoman Street was arrested on manslaughter charges after witnesses said he spurred his horses forward.

Escape Fugitives In Gardiner Robbery Case

George Dryden, 28, linked to a Mrs. Harmon's boarding house robbery, arrived with Lynn officers after agreeing to accompany them. He pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial in Augusta. he later escaped from custody near the State House, prompting a city-police search.
