Cat Upsets Nahant Suffrage Rally With Howling Interruption

In Nahant on April 10 a crowded Town Hall suffrage meeting saw a black cat disrupt speeches by Miss Alice Carpenter and Mrs. Thomas P. Curtis. Police removed the animal after it caused laughter and yowls that echoed through the hall. The event previewed further talks in Lynn with Rep. Frank W. Atkins and Mayor W. P. Connery to preside. The group aims to defeat Rep. Ford of the 14th Essex, who voted against the suffrage bill.
