Anti Carlists Aroused In Valencia Riot At Marquis Cerralbo Arrival
Maprin April 10 A violent anti Carlist demonstration greeted Marquis Cerralbo as thousands gathered at the station and followed him to his hotel. Windows were smashed and a fire started before troops dispersed the mob. A 2000 strong crowd invaded the Carlist Club burning furniture and obstructing firemen. Troops later fired barricades and charged repeatedly. injuries and possible deaths are reported as the garrison remains under arms.
