Providence April 8 The Journal will publish a detailed report on Warwick's last Wednesday election showing money influence at polls. A despatch reports the death in New York of Miss Lilian Olcott the actress. She died at the Westminster Hotel from bowel complaint after a period of ill health. Olcott rose to fame in Sardou's Theodora and had a long stage career beginning in Hartford in 1882. General Quincy A. Gilmore and Hon. T. G. Clemson also noted as dying.

Loxpox April 8 reports steamers Servia and Alaska sailed for New York and Portland respectively with Boston City and Stockholm City bound for Liverpool and Boston from Liverpool today.
In New York on April 8 the Sharp family held a secretive funeral for Jacob Sharp. A hearse and six cars departed from 854 West Twenty-third Street, with only close relatives and a few officials present. The procession reached Greenwood Cemetery by 10 am for a family burial in the family plot.
Washington April 8 Today s Capital says Mr Blaine has engaged his steamer passage for the United States and will sail on the 16th of June The convention at Chicago will meet on the 19th of June and will nominate Mr Blaine who will at that time be about midway across the Atlantic His sailing three days before the convention meets will cut off all personal communication with him and enable his friends to rush his nomination through the convention without any question as to whether he will accept it.
A treaty signed in Tangier provides that the United States Morocco dispute will be decided by a Moorish representative and the American consul. If they fail to agree a European referee will be named whose decision is final. Also reports Doumer elected in Aisne and expulsion of Odessa Jews announced.
