Railroads Seek Temporary Relief From Interstate Law
The Interstate Commerce Commission grants a ninety day suspension of section 4 for traffic from Milwaukee via Grand Haven to points east of Detroit and St. Clair Rivers. Higher rates may be charged eastward to Ionia and Grand Haven but not exceeding Chicago-Milwaukee forwarding rates. Additional points are added to allow lower rates on certain routes, with posted tariffs required. Boston trunk-line export rates referred to Commissioner Walker for investigation.
