Madame Galli Curci, famed opera singer, was robbed in a cafe rest room when two girls overpowered her maid and escaped with a jewel case valued at about $45,000. The incident occurred during a luncheon stop.
Mr Samuel and soprano Galli Curci with her maid Mae Hendrickson stopped in a cafe at San Juan Capistrano for luncheon en route from Los Angeles to San Diego. The maid set down a jewel case in a rest room and it vanished. Hendrickson gave a vague description of two blond women. The party returned to Los Angeles to search.
John A Whitney of 31 Dodge Street Cambridge allegedly threatened his wife and children with a loaded revolver last evening and was arrested near Central Square station by Lt Donahue and Patrolman O'Brien. He was booked for carrying a loaded weapon.
A blast in Desmostoni Katsaniso’s Ninth avenue apartment killed his three year old and severely injured him and his two other children. Katsaniso was arrested on a charge of violating the State prohibition law.

A special meeting of Milk Wagon Drivers Union 38 is set for tomorrow at Wells Memorial Building to ballot on a strike. The drivers seek to extend the proposed agreement with city milk dealers for one year and to keep an eight hour day for chauffeurs rather than a nine hour day demanded by employers.
