Milton Fire Chief Choate Dies After Stroke
Chief George F. Choate of the Milton fire department died at his East Milton home after a paralytic stroke. A Milton native, he served 50 years with the department and led as chief for 21 years. He was 65, survived by his wife, two sons Fred and Ernest, and two daughters Mrs. Laurie of Concord and Mrs. Davidson of New Jersey. He belonged to the Massachusetts Chiefs' Club and led the Milton Firemen's Relief Association.
