Alienation suit cites hush actions of John Lamellas
John Lamellas, sued in Superior Court by Chriss Stavredes, accuses him of alienation of the affections of Stavredes wife Helen. Testimony from a former maid says Lamellas kept his hat and coat in the Stavredes kitchen to slip out the back if the husband returned. The couple married in 1910 and separated around 1914. Stavredes, a wholesale fruit dealer, says he found Lamellas leaving the house on June 17 1915 and later divorced in January naming another man. Mrs Nellie McLeod, former Stavredes maid, confirms employment in 1915.
