Somerville Official Killed At Webster Avenue Crossing
John T. Hafford, 29, an assistant in the city engineer’s office, was struck by the western express at the Webster avenue crossing on the Fitchburg division of the Boston & Maine railroad. He died ten minutes after arrival at Somerville Hospital. He was en route to visit Miss Blanche Jackson who identified him at the morgue.
