In INCOOK New Hampshire March 31, Fred Eastman a 99 says he will wed Nellie Edwards the town’s first woman in years on April 20. Their age gap and fortune contrast spark chatter as relatives share varying gossip about the couple who plan to marry at the Methodist Church.
George E. Stilings and Guy C. Stilligs, officers of the Preferred Mercantile Company, had their charter forfeited on March 14 for an unlawful diamond lease business. They were arrested on a capias issued by Judge Loring in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon on a petition by AssistantAttorneyGeneral Nash, charged with contempt of court. Bail set at 10,090 for appearance today as they allegedly refused to turn over property of receiver Burton P. Gray per court order.
Charles M. Reed trustee of the Samuel W. Cushing estate was arrested in the 804 Exchange Building on a larceny warrant for diverting funds from June 16, 1904. Held on $10,000 bail, Reed claimed losses of about $8,500, with $6,000 in bonds and $2,000 in cash, and resigned after the estate discovered the discrepancies.
H. H. Rogers claims ministers say queer things and accuses Dr. Washington Gladden of dishonesty about Rockefeller's wealth. He argues Gladden would not trust the Ten Commandments with church deacons, noting potential breaches.

Harold Bower, four, of 112 Willow Street in Cambridge, was pinned under a Boston Elevated car for about thirty minutes as hundreds watched. He was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital after surgeons fought to save him while anesthetics and splints were applied. Doctors feared for his life as blood loss and injuries were treated.
Fire in Holworthy Hall, Harvard’s oldest dormitory, damaged room 14 over 12. Occupants G. G. Smith and KE. P. Cobb fled the blaze as students and energy helped extinguish it before serious damage. C. P. Whorf and H. W. Crosby occupied the adjoining apartment.
The disappearance of Captain Charles Knapp prompts reports that Union Self Company audits show a $30,000 discrepancy. President C. E. Sprague cites expert review pending while the captain’s fate remains unsettled. Knapp, 50, left Boston Feb 17 amid illness concerns and reportedly visited a Wall Street broker on Feb 18. His wife awaits news as search efforts continue.
Mrs. Bosson reports no trouble behind Captain Charles W. Knapp's absence from Newton and hopes he will be located to end family anxiety. Knapp, once a Fifth Regiment M V M quartermaster and Newton political figure, lived at the Woodland Park Hotel and had substantial inheritance history.
