State Board of Health Replies McNary’s Questions
The State Board of Health yesterday answered Representative McNary’s 20 questions on gas dangers. It states water gas carries about 30 percent carbonic oxide, coal gas about 7 percent, and that death and illness rise with oxide levels. The answers raise concerns over leaks, recovery chances, and the overall increase in gas poisoning since water gas’s introduction.
