Frankfort Man Found Dead in Rooms Above Morris Grocery
William Peters, about 64, was found dead in his rooms above Morris grocery in Frankfort. Friends, who had missed him for days, forced entry last night and found the badly decomposed body on a bed. Coroner J. B. Wise said life had been extinct for at least 28 hours. remains sent to Stonebraker morgue for burial preparations.
Corn stalk disease hits western horses in Canton area
Reports from the western country describe a corn stalk fungus related ailment spreading north from the south. Dr. Noel Elberson warns there is no cure yet and urges careful feeding, salt for stock, and close watching of horses as outbreak grows.
