Renner farming tests show higher wheat yields in Fannin
In a Fannin county project, Frank Howell of Windom earned 35 bushels of Knox wheat per acre from a 13 acre Renner Farming System demonstration, while Clarence Lockaby of Cotton Center produced 30 bushels. Unfertilized yields were 13 and 9 bushels respectively, with soil-building residues noted. The program spans six years with 16 to 20 annual farm visits and uses a three year rotation including cotton.
