The Bonham State Bank of Bonham Texas will hold its annual stockholders meeting on January 9 1940 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the bank office. Directors will be elected and other business may be transacted as needed.

Texas Tech's textile engineers at the Texas Technological College will start a graduate research project to find the best cotton fiber for hosiery. Led by Professor M E Heard, the study tests inch and a half cotton fiber with yarn spun to test usability for stockings. The Tech department was chosen over eight other colleges to conduct the experiment for the Division of Clothing.
