An official dispatch from Tien Tsin reports Japanese forces have landed at Nikolaievsk to safeguard Allied citizens. Nikolaievsk is a key city near the Amur river mouth, about seven hundred fifty miles from Vladivostok.
London Aug 20 Haig reports continued progress in Flanders four German assaults repulsed southwest of Chaume area. British forces conduct minor operations between Vieux Berquin and Outtersteene capturing 182 prisoners.
