Erwin of Blanchard Oklahoma sat quietly as Maj Kahaniak testified Erwin urged acceptance of Communist indoctrination while both were prisoners in Korea. Kahaniak said Erwin, 28, was accused in 1951 of collaborating with Reds during captivity as the general court martial heard the testimony.

In Bexar County Jail a Tuesday night riot left one prisoner dead and two wounded among about 65 inmates on the fifth floor. Rodolfo Ruscobedo, 27, died.
