In Black ford county the newspaper plans to catalog sensational cases by number to avoid confusion. Deire Patoux, a retired Belgian saloon keeper, attempted suicide by chloroform on Friday and died at 10:30 Saturday morning. He had been despondent and had made a prior death by poison attempt recently.
An advertisement offers a one hundred dollar reward for an incurable catarrh cure, touts Hall's Catarrh Cure and Wall's Catarrh Cure with endorsements from Walding Kinnan Marvin, and claims testimonials and a 75 cent price per bottle. It promoterily asserts internal blood and mucous system action and recommends Hall's Family Pills for constipation.
Lancaster township hosts a Sunday school convention at the U B church in Craigville on Sunday November 13 at 2 o clock. The program includes devotional songs duets and talks by Rev Wm Miller C BE Snyder Chas Burkett W Park Rev Payne and Rev W C Martin Bluffton on topics such as opening and closing exercises training the child in Christian service and boyhood religion.

Papers covered School Management and the State Course of Study, including nature study and chemical experiments on vegetables. The afternoon featured readings, a socialism paper, and reports from teachers on recent school visits before adjourning to meet at Jefferson on December 17.

Charles Sears, long afflicted with lung trouble at the Adams house, will be taken to his brother’s Ashland home. He cannot lie down and must sleep upright in a chair. Physicians call his condition very serious. Sears formerly worked in the moulding rooms at the local pump factory.

The sale on November 19 1904 at Bluffton Indiana will offer leasehold lands north half of the southeast quarter section 12 township 25 north range 11 east and an oil well pumping outfit including casing tubing and derrick. If not enough to satisfy the decree the fee simple of the chattels will be exposed for sale at the same place and time.

Wade of the Fort Wayne district has been appointed to the committee for unification of the Methodist Book concern. There are plants in New York Chicago and Cincinnati and the last general conference favored consolidating into one with a central location. The committee will not report without mature investigation.
Dr George Ewing of Smiths Grove Kentucky states after thirty years of kidney and bladder trouble and enlarged prostate glands he used Foley's Kidney Cure.
