Obituary of James Healer a long time Wells County resident
James Healer born November 26 1821 near Brownville Union County Indiana. He moved with his parents to Fayette County and married Rachel McGraw January 28 1847. He lived in Putnam County briefly then Union Township Wells County from 1849 to 1870 and Zanesville Allen County from 1870 until his death May 13 1894. He shifted from Democrat to Republican at Civil War start and joined the Methodist Church in 1649 remaining in good standing. He endured a long illness with dignity awaiting death.
