Asa McBride an Inmate of the County Infirmary wandered away while Supt Crotts was absent to attend a funeral. His body was found hours later in the Six Mile creek. McBride, about 35, had a history of fits and a fondness for fishing, considered harmless, and burial followed at his sister Mrs Joe Porter’s home.
