The case against Elzy Starr and wife Dode Pace et al for malicious trespass, filed at Chris Starrs urging, was scheduled for yesterday but postponed after motions for continuance. A new hearing date of July 23 was set as delays continue for over a month amid ill health and absent witnesses.
Bert Heller, leader of the Linn Grove Junior Band, brings his ensemble to town for a concert on the court house square tomorrow evening. The band has built a wide reputation with recent concerts.
The Heller Band led by Mr. Heller performs a concert program featuring overtures and marches by composers such as Calumet, Bud and Blossom, Jolly Coppersmith, Place of Glory, Steel King, and God Be With You Till We Meet Again. Artists include Bert Heller, Lesley March, Ellis Brooks, Geo Southwell, ZS St Clair, and J Herndon.
Mrs Tim Smith residing on the West Side was taken suddenly ill this morning. A doctor was summoned and after treatment she was reported to be resting much better at last accounts.

Last night at his home two miles east of Liberty Center Lemuel D. Sturgis aged 66 died after years of stomach trouble. He leaves six children from two marriages and links to the Reel and Dalley families. This morning Alma Reynolds died at 9 15 and funeral plans were set with Rev. C G Miller for Friday at 9 30 at 2013 West Market Street. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery.
Six young surveyors on the C., B. & C. line were discharged. Osborn, Lowenberg, Schleck, Foster, and Chisholm left for home after securing tools. The layoff suggests the road plans no immediate extension, with only the city to Portland segment active while Huntington Bluffton and Portland Union City parts await further work.
