In Rock Creek township Mrs. Frank Redding died Sunday evening after a brief illness. She leaves a husband and infant. Ernest Markley, brother of G T and Dr Henry Markley, died Saturday at his father Jonathan Markley’s home after long locomotor ataxia. He leaves two children. his wife had died earlier. He was a county school teacher and prominent in education. The funeral was Tuesday at Six Mile church with Rev. Bolton of Marion officiating.

Fight Saturday Night In Poneto Leaves Two Injured
Aaron McConey of Poneto was arrested after a brawl at the Joe Baumgardner saloon where he struck John Strain injuring his lips and allegedly threatened Fred Hostetter with a knife. Strain filed an assault and battery affidavit. hearing postponed to Saturday at 1 PM. All involved were intoxicated and may face further arrest.

Jennie Creek Arrives With Father at Upland Hotel
Robert Creek and his daughter Miss Jennie Creek arrived in Upland and checked into the Christley hotel. Creek works in timber on the McVicker farm south of town, with Miss Creek to manage the household while he labors there. Jennie Creek is remembered for helping flag a World's Fair special near Millgrove in 1893, saving a train and earning a medal and honorary French Legion of Honor membership.

Mr. Stark aims to leave in mid March or slightly later to resume work for a mining company with a hydraulic operation in the Klondike region.
