A head on collision near Houchins station west of Shaw's on the Radford division caused two deaths and multiple injuries. Fireman Epling and Eman Jewell of Radford died. C M Via dies at about 11 30 yesterday morning near Lurich while traveling to meet his wife. The 38 year old Republican had earlier carried Monroe County for his party in 1898 and 1900. He left behind no children and was widely esteemed in Bluefield and the southern region.
