Two Peterstown area extension homemaker groups met at the United Methodist Church to discuss Obtaining maintaining and retaining members with a lesson titled Maximizing Membership led by Eleanor Shanklin Monroe County home economist. Members of the Hill and Dale Club and Orchard Drive Club attended a program featuring questionnaires a short skit and a Q A session followed by refreshments.

Bride, daughter of Howell F Shrader Ridgeway Virginia, wore a cathedral train gown and chapel length veil. Bridesmaids wore rose gowns and carried burgundy pink and white blooms in a candlelit setting with arch candelabra and palms.
