Russians Repel Japanese in Manchuria Skirmishes
A dispatch from Gune-Chaling Manchuria dated May 22 reports several serious skirmishes Sunday. The Russian center was the scene of fighting and the Russians were victorious driving the Japanese to the south. The army began an offensive and General Linovitch plans to prevent Japan from attacking in the coming battle. General Kanibarts, commander of the second Manchurian army, is ill and will resign his command and return to Russia.

Calchas Freed by Russian Prize Court After Detention
Ambassador Meyer at St Petersburg reports the Russian prize court released the American steamer Calchas and 18 000 sacks of flour.
