They toured chateaux cellars and lunched on chicken and lobster a la Bretagne at Semblancay inn. Mrs Simpson promised to bring her sweetheart, Windsor wore flowers, and wedding plans moved forward with Mrs Pippen arranging further steps.

President Roosevelt, on his tenth day at sea near Texas, sorted official mail and prepared for a Coastal visit. He received a note from Adolf Hitler thanking him for expressing sympathy over the Hindenburg disaster. The White House announced a formal Texas Stadium address next Tuesday.
