Richmond March 9 The Virginia house of delegates approved Governor Tuck s amended anti Truman bill by 74 to 25 and sent it to the senate. Eight Republicans joined 36 Democrats. one member did not vote. The amended bill allows a state Democratic convention to place the party s presidential and vice presidential electors on the ballot for any candidate the convention approves, while the original bill would have kept Truman off the ballot if nominated against the Virginia Democratic platform.
