$4.8 Million Boosts McDowell County School Project
The State School Building Authority approved 4.8 million dollars for the Big Creek and Saeger High School project in Bradshaw, boosting total funding to about 68 million for a combined high school and site prep. The plan consolidates Big Creek and Jaeger students into a single 9-12 facility with a vocational program, and adds a 32,000 square foot elementary school housing Bradshaw and Bartley pupils. Construction is underway and the new high school targets a 2008 opening.
