House OKs impeachment proceedings against Claiborne

The House Judiciary Committee voted to impeach Nevada federal Judge Harry E. Claiborne for tax evasion and misreported income in 1979 and 1980. Four articles were approved, three 35 to 0 and one 28 to 7, sending the matter to the full House for a potential Senate trial.
