Forgery case delay for Bluefield man in Mercer court
Public record reports Mercer County Circuit Judge William O. Bivens Jr delayed the sentencing of Jerry Lee Harding, a Bluefield area man, until July 2 in Tazewell County, Virginia, to address a parole violation. Harding had pleaded guilty last week to one count of a three count forgery indictment under an agreement with the Mercer County prosecutor. He remains free on bond ahead of the next appearance before Judge Bivens.
