Presbyterian church members arrange a picnic on July 13 at Glenwood Park from 4 30 to 6 o clock. Picnickers provide food and the church covers overages.
Princeton society notes the Friendship Garden club will gather Tuesday night at 7 30 at the home of Mrs Frederick Cooke on Highland Ave with Mrs Charles Miller Jr and Mrs James Edmonds as co hostesses.
On Thursday June 29 starting at 10 30 a.m. the Bluefield District W S C S conducts an all day officers training school at the First Methodist church. Lunch will be served at noon at the church.
The Delphian club will hold its regular meeting Tuesday night June 27 at 8 o'clock. The gathering takes place at the home of Mrs. D. K. Callaway on Straley Avenue.
The Princeton Athens alumnae chapter Sigma Sigma Sigma will meet Monday night June 26 at eight o clock with Mrs Alderson Swope at 208 Center Street Princeton.
The Pre School Mothers club of the First Christian church will host a weiner roast at Speedway Park Monday night. Attendees meet at the church at six o'clock. If rain occurs the outing will be postponed.

The First Christian church of Princeton hosted the Southern District workshop with 10 AM registration and 10:15 AM devotionals by Mrs. McMullin Bluefield. State WMU president Mrs. G D Post and others spoke, with reports from multiple churches and a 172 box soap powder drive for Hazel Green Academy Kentucky. A 96 attendee picnic lunch followed.
Children from the Presbyterian church attend Camp Beckwith this week under director Dr. C. H. Patterson of Bluefield. Participants include Nancy Jane Davis Anna Snead Becky Shaffer Anna Lynn Keskow Susanne Stinson Sandra Stovall Anne Clemons Jack Womeldorf with Patty Lou Stovall as senior counselor. Capt. Douglas Sterrett his wife and daughters Sarah and Martha of Fort Knox visit relatives in town before Sterrett sails to Germany. Mrs J C Crockett recovers from brain tumor surgery at Bluefield Sanitarium. Forum club sets meeting June 27 at 8 PM hosted by Mrs J L Hart.

Harvard varsity oarsmen leave New London for London by plane after their Harvard Yale win. Their aim is to duplicate earlier Harvard crews by winning Henley's grand challenge cup in early next month.
In Gary West Virginia special report the Filbert and Elbert Methodist churches joined for Vacation Bible School sessions held over the past week. Mrs Ralph Smith directed with Mrs Hungate and Mrs Churchill Lilly assisting. Classes met each morning from 9 to 11 30 a.m.
The Vacation Bible School at Gary Methodist Church ends with a 10 oclock Sunday service. Seventy five children who attended the daily sessions will present a special program.
Radio WLOH airs a full day of religious services and music including Rev. Paul Hall Healing Waters program First Christian Church service Organ Melodies Texas Bill Strength Guy Jene Show and Wayne King Show. Sports Roundup and national music programs cap the evening schedule.

The Princeton Chapter 53 Eastern Star installed officers publicly at the Masonic Hall led by Zylpha Hinkle as worthy matron and Adriel Hinkle as worthy patron. The ceremony featured floral arches, a cross lighting, and a pastel procession with music by local performers.
