Seek Final Action On Rivers Measure Monday

Washington June 21 final action on the rivers and harbors omnibus bill carrying authorizations estimated at 142 million dollars is to be sought in the house Monday to accept senate amendments to the measure. The rivers and harbors committee had instructed Chairman Dempsey to seek unanimous consent to accept the senate amendment increasing the total by about 24.5 million dollars but action was deferred for study of new projects.
