One Hurt In Cycle Wreck Near Abbs Valley Virginia
Virginia State Police investigated an auto cycle collision at Abbs Valley eight miles west of Pocahontas on State Route 644. Chambers Receives Prison Term for Malicious Wounding
Bluefield resident Garfield Chambers age 48 was sentenced to two to ten years in the West Virginia State Penitentiary after pleading guilty to malicious wounding in Mercer County Intermediate Court. The incident occurred November 30, 1968, in Bluefield when Edward L. Martin was wounded. Also Friday Judge Howard M. Jarrett sentenced Douglas Glen Belcher, 24, of Montcalm, to one to ten years after he pled guilty to grand larceny.
