Pocahontas dissolves town fire department amid county aid
The town of Pocahontas Virginia dissolves its volunteer fire department for at least three years with Tazewell County to provide service. Abbs Valley and Bluefield will maintain fire protection in the Pocahontas area and a second Abbs Valley station will be established at Coal Miner's Park to serve the town.
